Hi, I’m Christy Winter, a second-generation State Farm agent proudly serving Peru, Indiana, Miami County, and surrounding communities.
Insurance has quite literally been a family business for most of my life. I began working alongside my father, a State Farm agent since 1963, in 1987 and opened my own State Farm office in Peru in 1997. My brother is also a State Farm agent.
Together, our family brings more than 120 years of combined experience as local State Farm agents—and I’m proud to continue that tradition of serving Indiana families.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from William Penn College along with CLU and ChFC designations. Those years of education and experience help me do something I believe is especially important: take complicated insurance conversations and make them easier to understand.

A Little More About Me
When I'm not helping customers, you'll probably find me spending time with family or planning my next outdoor adventure.
I've backpacked to the bottom of the Grand Canyon twice, including a rim-to-rim trip, and love remote camping in and around our National Parks. I also enjoy wildlife photography, kayaking, hiking, reading, crafting and sewing.
My husband, John, and I have a blended family with three adult children, five grandchildren, and two dogs. Our two Bouvier des Flandres, Georgi and Gracie, are frequent companions on our National Park adventures. They love hiking the trails especially the ones with waterfalls and creeks.
