I’m Christy Winter, and I’m grateful to serve the Peru community and the surrounding areas with the same commitment my family has carried for generations. Since 1997, my office has focused on helping individuals and families understand their coverage options so they can feel confident and supported through every season of life.

As a second‐generation State Farm agent, I began my journey in 1987 working alongside my father, who has been an agent since December 1963. My brother is also an agent, and together our family has proudly supported the state for more than 122 years combined - my father’s 62 years, my brother’s 31 years, and my 29 years as local agents. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from William Penn College, along with my CLU and ChFC designations, and I’m thankful for the opportunity to continue serving our neighbors with the experience I’ve gained over the past 39 years.

Outside the office, I love spending time with my family and being outdoors. I’ve backpacked to the bottom of the Grand Canyon twice - including a rim‐to‐rim trip - and I enjoy remote camping in or near the National Parks. Wildlife photography, kayaking, hiking, reading, crafting, and sewing are some of my favorite hobbies. My husband, John, and I share a blended family: I’m a mother to a 28‐year‐old son I adopted, a bonus mom to a daughter and son, and a proud Gammie to four grandchildren - with a fifth arriving in June. Our two Bouvier des Flandres dogs, Georgi and Gracie, are five years old and love traveling with us on our National Park adventures. I also help lead a weekly Bible study, which is an important part of my life.
